I feel that in many ways, digitally filming movies is more efficient than using traditional photochemical film. It consumes far less time and is less expensive to do. Also, with digital film, you can see what you get while it's being shot. With analog film, you have to wait on it to be processed, and if any mistakes were made, you have to go back and reshoot the whole scene. Color correction and transitions are also made easier with digital technology, where you can use a computer program rather than having to chemically alter or cut the film.
